Foreningens navn er FO-Aarhus.

Foreningen er almennyttig, og dens formål er at udbrede folkeoplysning inden for økonomiske, politiske, sociale og kulturelle emner. Formålet søges bl.a. opnået gennem:

• At oprette lokale aktiviteter med støtte i folkeoplysningsloven

• Samarbejde med andre folkeoplysende og kulturelle organisationer

Som medlem kan optages enhver der kan tilslutte sig foreningens formål.

  The name of the association is FO-Aarhus
The association is non-profit, and its purpose is to spread public enlightenment within the topics of economy, politics, society and culture. We seek to achieve our purpose by the means of for instance:

• Setting up local activities supported by the Act on Non-formal Education and Democratic Voluntary Activity.

• Collaboration with other public enlightenment and cultural organisations.
